The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched this year's "Estonia Quiz" with free trip to the Nordic country as grand prize.

The quiz in two languages, English and Russian consists of 12 multiple-choice questions covering different aspects of Estonian life. With the help of the different Internet links provided on the quiz page, it should be fun and easy for everyone to discover something new about the country.
The grand prize for two includes flights, accommodation, meals, city tours and much more.  
The quiz will officially close on May 25 and the names of the winners will be published on May 31.

In January the property known so far as Holiday Inn Warsaw **** ,changed its name and became Mercure Warszawa Centrum ****. The process of re-branding was followed by complete renovation of the property  including the public area which received a new decor. Riga releases program as Europe's Capital of Culture 2014

In an effort to drum up awareness for its turn at the international spotlight, the city of Riga has released details on its year-long calendar as Europe’s designated Capital of Culture next year which will include a human book chain made up of 25,000 people and a carnival of choirs. The programm will kick off with a celebration dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the printed book.

In January, for example, a human chain of 25,000 volunteers will transfer books, hand to hand, from the old to the new Latvian National Library, the Gaismas pils, which is still under construction.

The venue will also host an opera performance of "Rienzi" by Richard Wagner, who called the city home for two years.

Resort Pärnu - 175 years

This year, the Pärnu resort celebrates its 175th anniversary. In the 19th century Pärnu became a health resort, in the 20th century the summer capital of Estonia, and in the 21st century an experience resort along the Baltic Sea. In June 1838, a resort in Pärnu was opened for its first guests. Heated seawater baths and sea bathing opportunities were offered in summer while the establishment operated a sauna in winter. The jubilee year entails activities aimed at preserving and restoring health, as well as events refreshing the soul. The local catering establishments have been involved resort menus, supplemented by tips from nutrition specialists. Special offers are made also by the city’s sports centres and clubs. Within the framework of the resort year, the facilities of the Pärnu city environment for all-year-round sporting are highlighted more vividly, including the health tracks, the beach area as well as the parks.
